Mentorship Program

Program Goals

Program Guidelines

  • Both mentor and mentee will be members of the SKTEAL PGN.
  • The mentor and mentee relationship must be professional and respectful at all times.
  • The program will only coordinate the matching of mentee and mentor and provide email contacts between both parties. Any communication between the parties after the pairing is the responsibility of the two parties and SKTEAL will not be involved, and will not be held responsible for the contents of any private communications.
  • Either party may choose to withdraw from the pairing if they wish to discontinue the program.
    • Please inform the SKTEAL Mentorship Program Facilitator in this case.
  • If the mentee or mentor wishes to withdraw from the pairing, they can contact the facilitator to request another pairing. New pairings will be made on the discretion of the facilitator and feedback from previous pairings will be considered.
  • This program runs on a voluntary basis. It is run by teachers, for teachers with the ultimate goal being to improve learning outcomes for our students in Saskatchewan. In most cases, both mentors and mentees are working teachers who are working day to day in a busy and demanding workplace.
  • The mentorship program may include but will not necessarily be focussed on sharing resources. The situation and needs of the mentee along with the experiences of the mentor should guide the relationship.
  • As this is a voluntary program to connect and support teachers no remuneration (monetary or other) is expected or required to or by either partner.
