DESCRIPTION:Hosted by STFPL\n\n\n\n\nAs EAL students are welcomed into classrooms\, teachers are called to support their acquisition of an additional language within the framework of grade-appropriate curricula.   \nLearning Outcomes:  \n\nDevelop a foundational understanding of how students progress in learning English. \nExplore how cognitive demand and context can impact the progress of language learners. \nInvestigate potential uses of the Common Framework of Reference (CFR) and the CFR Overview to support and guide work with EAL students. \nExplore differentiation strategies to support English language learners.  \n\nAudience:  Grades 1-12 educators \nDate:  Friday\, October 3\, 2025 \nTime: 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. \nLocation: Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation – Arbos Centre for Learning\nMcDowell Conference Room\n2311 Arlington Ave\, Saskatoon\, SK  \nWorkshop Cost: (includes GST\, materials and lunch)   \n***Register early to ensure a spot!***  \n\nEarly Bird: $150 (prior to 10 business days before event)  \nStandard: $175 \n\nRegistration closes 2 business days prior to the workshop. Payment must accompany registration. The refund deadline for all workshops and events is 10 business days prior to the start date. Registrants who withdraw prior to the refund deadline are entitled to a full refund or transfer of their registration fee.
